Fountain Plaza

Hollis Gardens with this delightful fountain plaza and trellis is one of the most enjoyable and beautiful places that I have been in many years. It's an absolutely wonderful place and one of Florida's little known hidden treasures. I hope that you will have the opportunity to discover it for yourself.

Sunday in the parks

Lakeland has one of the best parks systems that I have seen. They are great places to enjoy on Sunday or any day. Here are Hollis Garden an exquisite botanical paradise and a great place for taking photos. Beyond that is Barnett family park with three very nice building that can be used for events, in addition to children's play areas and nice places to sit back and relax. Both are on the Lake Mirror Promenade.

Many people come to Florida for beaches and theme parks and miss many of its treasures such as Lakeland.

This is a beautiful and friendly Florida community about half way between Tampa and Orlando. It is an ideal place for living very close to major cities yet being in a community with it's own distinct sense of place, charm, and a more relaxed pace of life.

About Me

Hello, my name is David I like hills, lakes, nature, a sense of place, history, and calm mixed with things new, growth, and excitement. I also like being in a smaller city close to much larger ones, a community with a strong arts and collage scene, a place that is friendly and inviting.

As I looked around central Florida I found Lakeland to fit my likes and interests far more than anyplace else and it is my privilege to share some of it here with you.

At this time I am seeking employment as well. I have a strong background in customer service and marketing. I also have experience in distribution, light manufacturing, quality control and more. Plus I clearly enjoy photography.

I am a creative, motivated, self-starter who is known as a quick learner with a diligent work ethic. I’d work well in many positions, but would enjoy most an opportunity to help promote Lakeland’s growth and further development.
